Today, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan signed into law HB 1270 and SB 527 which severely restrict the fees and charges unsecured open-end lenders may impose under the Credit Grantor Revolving Credit Provisions, Md. Code Ann., Com. Law ยงยง 12-901 et seq. We reported on the legislation in an alert on March 31, 2017. The legislation will become effective on July 1, 2017.
