Direct: Licensed Lender

Direct: Licensed Lender covers laws that apply to the following types of loans, in any amount:

  • unsecured
  • secured by motor vehicles, goods, or other collateral
  • open end lines of credit
  • closed end loans

The product addresses issues in a question/answer format. The questions relate to licensing, fee and payment limitations, disclosures, titling and security interests, recordkeeping, collections, and other pertinent issues. The responses are based on state statutes, regulations and materials published by the regulating entity. The responses generally do not cover local or municipal ordinances. If there is more than one licensing scheme that applies in a particular response, the responses are categorized by licensing scheme. Direct: Licensed Lender does not cover laws related to retail installment sales, mortgage loans, title loans, payday loans or commercial loans.
